I am an independent web developer working in Hawaii. I have been doing websites, mobile apps, and other software development for the past 14+ years. I believe websites and other software should “just work” and not need configuring by the end user. While this does offer less flexibility this also offers a better user experience for those that do not deal with techy stuff on a daily basis.
I first came across WordPress in 2007 when I was researching an open source CMS (content management system). Back then the competition was pretty tough with no clear winner in terms of popularity. I chose WordPress because it was the only CMS where I didn’t need to read instructions to figure out how to manage my website. If a developer like myself has trouble using a website how can I expect a non-technical person to use it? From that point on I’ve been focusing more and more on WordPress themes and plugins. In 2011 Webhead LLC was formed to concentrate solely on WordPress related projects.
